How to start it with God
“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.” Psalms 37:5-6 NKJV. Have you ever had the feeling that your everyday routine is lacking something? That even if everything seems OK, there seems to be a hole that you can’t seem to fill. I have experienced that. And today, I want to talk about how putting God at the beginning and end of every area of your life can make the most common situations into very meaningful ones. Let’s begin when you wake up in the morning. Imagine awakening to a moment of appreciation rather than the sound of an alarm clock. Give thanks to God for this new day and for His mercy. It’s not just another lovely day; rather, it’s a brand-new opportunity that money cannot buy. Give thanks to God at the beginning of each day. You should be grateful to God just for your ability to breathe. “And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. Exo. 33:15 NKJV Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Prov. 3:5-6 NKJV Another way to start your activities with God is by communicating with Him first. Whether it’s choosing a career path, nurturing relationships, or even mundane tasks, inviting God’s presence enriches the experience and outcomes. The way you choose to execute it can really make a big difference. Involve God in your plans for the day as you get ready. It’s as simple as speaking with a friend. Express your anxieties and your hopes. This doesn’t have to be official or spoken aloud. You can even have a private, sincere discussion with God while taking a shower or preparing breakfast. Continue the conversation when you begin your workday or during your commute. Give your work that you’re all for a greater good. Take a break when things become difficult, or tension begins to build. Remind yourself of your true Employer, God. Now it’s time for lunch. Give your meal a blessing for a moment before you eat. Give credit to those who prepared it and the sources from which it originated. This small act of appreciation can elevate an ordinary meal to the status of a sacrament, strengthening your spiritual bond. Proverbs 3-5-6 advises us to lean not on our understanding but to acknowledge Him in all our ways. This promises divine direction in every facet of life. The stories of those who practice this are telling. They speak of unexpected blessings and miraculous turnarounds, simply because they chose to prioritize divine wisdom over human judgment. Such testimonials not only inspire but also serve as practical examples of how divine guidance can be sought and received daily. Another method of involving God in your affairs is to always act with love. As the afternoon wears on and you take on more tasks, incorporate small deeds of kindness. Hold a door open, laugh together. Every deed of kindness spreads God’s love to others via you. It gets dark outside, as the day ends, evaluate your day. What was successful? Where else might you let God in more? Here, prayer and meditation can be quite effective techniques for regaining your spiritual focus and alignment. And lastly, let go of the stresses of the day as you get ready for bed. Give them over to God. Have faith in the fact that you are loved, cared for, and directed by God. As you drift off to sleep, say a prayer of thanksgiving as well as for yourself. Transforming ‘starting it with God’ into a daily habit requires intentionality and discipline. It begins with setting aside specific times for prayer and meditation on the Scriptures. These acts of devotion reinforce our reliance on God and tune our hearts to His frequency. Community plays a crucial role here. Encouraging one another, sharing insights, and celebrating divine interventions strengthen the resolve to continue this sacred practice. As more believers adopt this habit, the collective testimony of God’s guidance and protection will undoubtedly grow stronger. Put your trust in Him for all your everyday decisions, both large and small decisions —for the pathways you have never trodden as well as the ones you have travelled before. Both large and small things need to involve Him. Believing in God in all areas of your life doesn’t mean making drastic adjustments. It’s about incorporating heavenly presence into your day-to-day activities and transforming mundane tasks into hallowed customs. And when you do this, I promise the most wonderful things start to happen in your life. You are not merely existing; you are existing with grace, with a purpose, and with God. In conclusion, the call to start all things with God is not just a spiritual suggestion; it’s a strategic approach to living a victorious and purposeful life. It’s about making a daily decision that no matter the challenges ahead, they will be faced with the Divine leading the way. Decide today to make this life-changing choice. Trust Him in all your daily decisions (big and small), not just on the road you have walked before but also on the paths you have never taken. We need to involve Him in a big thing and in a small thing. Let every dawn remind you of the power available when you choose to say, Lord, start this day with me. Start it with God. Always. Every day. In every decision. Choose to live a life under His guidance and watch how wonderfully He orchestrates every moment. Trust Him, and let your daily journey be a testament to His unending faithfulness. Complete this transformation by making God not just a part of your life, but the start of it every single day. This is not just a practice but a lifestyle of divine guidance, protection, and wisdom. Choose to start each day with Him and witness the profound impact it will have on your life and beyond. Remember, it all
