Who is this Jesus?

A TRUTHFUL, GOOD, AND POWERFUL FRIEND

There is nothing like Jesus as a friend. He is a powerful, truthful, and sincere friend. Imagine a companion who willingly gave His life to preserve our friendship, allowing us to grow closer to Him. Jesus taught that this world is flawed and in need of restoration. He is a true friend. He pledged to come back, make the necessary sacrifices, and end the suffering, pain, and tears. He is a good friend who pays attention to us, prays for us, accepts our requests, and shows concern for our well-being. Even though we don't deserve it, He gave His life as a sacrifice so that we could live and have our sins forgiven. He is a powerful friend in all of them, having conquered Satan, death, and sin. He gave us this power so that we able to trend upon serpent and scorpion and we’re more than conqueror. Jesus gives us His Holy Spirit, by which we are enabled as Christians to embody His strength and victory.

GOD LOVES YOU

What a good thing to know that God loves us. The reality of God's love for us is deep and unwavering. According to John 3:16 in the Bible, God loved the world so much that He sent His one and only Son to die to atone for our sins. God shows us how much He loves us by sending Christ to suffer on the cross while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Before we love Him, He loves us. God is love, and His love for us is as vast as the heavens are high (Psalm 103:11). This is because God is love (1 John 4:8).

God's love is selfless; it is constant and unwavering, existing in all situations and offering His best for our good. He taught us the knowledge of this personal love, which enables us to recognise and adore everyone. Furthermore, His love is eternal, existing from the beginning of creation to the end of eternity. We find forgiveness and redemption, peace and strength, direction and knowledge, acceptance, and a sense of belonging, and ultimately, hope and eternal life, through this love of God.

Did God love us? Yes! God's love for us is limitless, unfailing, and eternal! As God is love, His love is the greatest gift to humanity! God loves you!

All of us are once sinners. Thus, acknowledge that you have sinned but do not condemn yourself. At their lowest points, sinners find love and mercy in Jesus. Jesus is a Redeemer who brings us beauty in His splendour and a Saviour who knows and empathises with us. He also raises us from the ashes and gave us beauty in replacement. He is a Lord who changes us, making us into new people, and becoming a friend who is more enduring than a brother or sister.

THERE'S A HOPE FOR YOU

Even after being chopped down, a tree still has hope. Even though you may have lived your life according to your own ideals, Jesus has given you a fresh start. The devil is now trying to convince you that your life is over. He’s just a father of liars. You have hope because of Jesus. Because He came to seek and save the lost, Jesus is the hope for sinners. Good deeds, self-righteousness, transient pleasure happiness and false words or promises, religious ceremonies, or anything else except Jesus Christ are not sources of hope for sinners.

Jesus purges all iniquity and pardons sins. After making peace with God and creating us anew, He gives us a new heart and spirit, transforming us from the person we once were into someone quite different from the one the devil formerly knew. Furthermore, Jesus prays for our success on our behalf and acts as an intermediary (II Corinthians 5:17–21, I John 1–9, Romans 8–34).

This is the good news of the Gospel, the promise of redemption, the message of salvation, and the manifestation of God's love! Jesus is the one Hope, the sure Hope, the Hope that never fails, the Hope for sinners and for everyone who believes in Him!

GOD CAN HEAR YOU

If we approach God in faith and trust, He will always hear us and grant our requests. God is always receptive to our prayers and cries. Therefore, have faith in His timing. Of course! God wants to hear from us, and His ears are always open to us! God is attentive, caring, and able to hear! Remember that He has vowed to never abandon you. In fact, Psalm 34:17 tells us that God hears the cry of the righteous. He provides us with this indication so that we can be aware that He might decide not to hear some unrighteous individuals.

In addition, He hears our requests (1 Peter 3:12) and opens His ear to us (Psalm 40:1). He hears and listens to everything, from our demands to the heartbroken people's prayers. (See Philippians 4:1–7). It is such a comfort to know that God always hears us, no matter when we call. Heaven may be high above, yet God is not constrained by time (Psalm 139:11–12), distance (Psalm 139:1-4), number (Psalm 113:3), or language (Acts 2–12). He hears all our prayers without preference. Would you call on Him now?

CULTIVATE HABIT OF PRAYING

Not only is it beneficial for us as believers to cultivate a prayer life, but it is also highly profitable and satisfying! It's a way to strengthen your relationship with God. It is advisable to consider beginning modest to cultivate a regular prayer life. It might entail starting with quick, realistic prayers—even for a few minutes each day. It can continue as a schedule, choosing a time and location for prayer and then increasing it to be a top priority.

It takes consistency to turn it into a fully rewarded habit. This implies that you should try to pray every day at the same time. Finding a quiet place might occasionally help you concentrate on God and prayer. Writing down my prayers, ideas, and reflections has made it easier for me to monitor my growth and tick out my testimonies. It is important to note that praying according to scripture results in more effective prayers. When you pray, refer to verses from the Bible for guidance or inspiration.

Prayer, on the other hand, is a two-way conversation. You are conversing with God in this way, and you should anticipate hearing back. Spend some time in prayer and even after to listen for God's wisdom and direction. Recognise that God's timing is perfect and adopt a persistent and patient attitude.

Join a local or virtual prayer group or find a prayer partner for support, as it is helpful for most of us. I want you to keep in mind that prayer is a spiritual journey rather than a task. It's a private discussion with God, and He looks forward to hearing from you! Prayer is like the breath of the soul, essential to its survival.

BUILD YOUR FAITH

We must have faith that God will fulfil His word and that everything is happening for the best. This trust grows and must be renewed with faith. This is where building our faith comes in. Like a muscle that gets stronger with exercise, faith may be strengthened with spiritual exercises. Your faith increases faster the more you exercise.

Reading the Bible, which is God's Word and the basis of faith, is one of these exercises (Romans 10:17). It goes hand in hand with regularly praying. You can please God by having regular conversations with him in which you share your heart and thoughts (Hebrews 11:6).

Adhere to God's instructions and have faith in His benevolence and sovereignty over everything (Psalm 135:6). Show Him how much you love and care for Him in real ways and surround yourself with positive people. Spending time with other Christians and encouraging influences can help achieve this (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Increasing your faith also encourages you to consider God's faithfulness and encourages us to obey him. Proceed with confidence and rely on God's direction (Matthew 14:22–33). In addition to them, you may wish to pursue spiritual disciplines like fasting and Bible meditation (Matthew 6:16–18).

In summary, faith grows as you nurture it. Your faith will grow stronger and more resilient with constant work! Faith is the proof of things unseen, the substance of things hoped for. (Read Hebrews 11:1)

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TRUTH - JESUS!

If you ask me who is Jesus, I will tell you about a man who is the Truth as well as the Way and the Life John 14:6. John 8:45 states that He is the One who speaks the truth, and John 8:32 states that the truth sets us free. The Word took on physical form and made His dwelling among us. We have beheld His glory, the glory of the only Son, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father. According to John 1:14, this clarified how He came to be the bodily embodiment of truth.
Because He is the fulfilment of prophecy and His words are spirit and life, Jesus is the Truth (John 6:63).

Furthermore, the truth of God has never changed or been diluted since He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He perfectly embodies the attributes of God (Hebrews 1:3). This Truth provides us with constant guidance for our lives in a world of constant change. In addition, we receive freedom from deceit and falsehoods, hence we have hope, and salvation in His promises—the very substance of truth itself. He is the one path to the Father, the highest peak of reality, and the whole truth!

Jesus is the only Truth that exists—the full truth and nothing else! In his Truth we have boldness to live in the truth. What a blessing to have Jesus as our good and truthful, but also powerful friend! A friend like Jesus is priceless and unmatched in comparison to other friends. We are untouchable, unstoppable, and unbeatable when Jesus is on our side!

THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Jesus states, "I am the good shepherd," in John 10:11. A good shepherd gives his life to protect his sheep. Someone who herds, tends, and protects sheep is called a shepherd. A person who watches over, guides, or protects another person. We are the sheep of His pasture. He gives us a name, refers to us as His own sheep, and then leads us forth. Every time He leads us outside, He moves ahead of us to avoid danger while His sheep follow Him. Because His sheep recognise His voice, He leads us in the language of heaven. He will not allow His sheep to follow a stranger; in reality, His sheep thus run away from a stranger’s voice. However, it requires that we know the voice and language of a stranger before we will be able to run from it.

STM believes it is her duty to make known the voice of the strangers we should stay away from. Being a faithful and good shepherd, He tends to His sheep with love and care (Psalm 23:1-4), gives them direction and guidance (Psalm 23:3), and keeps them safe from harm (Psalm 23:4). Like a good shepherd He is, Jesus gives His life to protect the sheep, which includes you (John 10:11). What a wonderful shepherd! Our Good Shepherd, Jesus, is the living example of unfailing love and forgiveness, guidance through His Word and Spirit, and salvation and restoration for the lost.

Jesus compassionately tends to us, His sheep, and leads us into eternal life in His capacity as our Good Shepherd. If you follow Him now, He will ensure that you never lack anything good. According to Psalm 23, "He will restore your soul and lead you to green pastures, still waters, and the paths of righteousness."

GRACIOUS JESUS

This aspect of Him perfectly embodies His kindness and love! Apart from the fact that He is abundant in mercy and lovingkindness (Ephesians 2:4-5), the gracious Jesus is full of grace and truth (John 1:14). The gracious Jesus I know is forgiving, generous, and extravagant in His gifts to humankind (Matthew 10:8). He is also slow to anger and abounding in love (Psalm 103:8).

He welcomes and dines with sinners (Luke 15:2), heals the wounded and releases captives (Luke 4:18), and demonstrates more of His humility and graciousness. Oh, what a kind God we serve—one who, according to Mark 4:39, calms storms and allays worries, finds the lost and saves those who wander, and makes intercession for us, according to Romans 8:34.

We find grace in our darkest moments, mercy that rejoices over any judgement the devil tries to bring upon us, and the ability to assist those in need, all in Gracious Jesus Hebrews 4:16.  Our deepest wounds are restored and healed by Him. Thank you, Lord, and Saviour, Jesus the Gracious! The grace of God, bigger than all our sin, that will cleanse and pardon us from the inside out, if only we could drop our sinful life and call on Him.
